Nagoya Prince Hotel Sky Tower to Offer Tanabata Afternoon Tea at 140 Meters Above Ground

The 31st-floor restaurant "Sky Dining Tenku" at Nagoya Prince Hotel Sky Tower will host a Tanabata (Star Festival) themed afternoon tea from June 5 (Fri) to July 9 (Thu), 2026. Situated 140 meters above ground, the venue offers sweeping views of Nagoya's cityscape — a bright, open atmosphere during the day and a glittering night-view setting in the evenings.

The seasonal menu draws inspiration from the legend of Orihime and Hikoboshi, the two stars said to meet just once a year on Tanabata night. Colorful sweets are presented in the spirit of festive paper strips (tanzaku), while the savory plate evokes the image of the Milky Way.

Sweets on offer include "Orihime Jelly" made with white peach, "Hikoboshi Anmitsu" with a refreshing blend of lemon and strawberry, and "Acai Bowl-style Nago-Pri Mont Blanc" — a lineup that weaves together Japanese and Western flavors with a summery touch.

The savory menu differs between the afternoon and evening sessions. The Afternoon Tea features a striking plate centered on a Milky Way-inspired pie, while the Night Afternoon Tea incorporates bouchées designed to represent Orihime and Hikoboshi.
