Strings Hotel Nagoya (4-60-7 Hiraikecho, Nakamura-ku, Nagoya, Aichi) is marking its 10th anniversary this year. As an anniversary event in gratitude for ten years since opening, the hotel will hold a one-night-only summer event, "STRINGS Blue Bubble Night," on Friday, August 28, 2026.
For one day only this summer, the resort-like courtyard "Cabana Garden," which looks out onto a cathedral, will be transformed into a photogenic blue-lit space. In the open-air setting, cooled by a pleasant breeze off the water, fantastical blue lighting and photo spots will appear alongside soap bubbles rising into the night sky, creating a refreshing, out-of-the-ordinary atmosphere. The evening opens with a welcome drink: a vivid blue cocktail made with the sparkling wine Chandon Brut. Live jazz from a nearly 30-member student ensemble, the Blue Stars Jazz Orchestra of Aichi University, will also fill the venue.
The dress code for the night is "blue," chosen to suit the cool mood of a midsummer evening. Guests who post a photo of their outfit on Instagram or TikTok, tagging Strings Hotel Nagoya, will be considered for the "Best Dresser Award" (one winner), who will receive a pair of restaurant tickets. After enjoying the Cabana Garden, guests can move indoors to the New York Lounge for a premium continuation of the evening, with an evening high tea featuring the world's three great delicacies and seasonal desserts designed to cool the summer air. In case of rain, the lighting display in the Cabana Garden will be cancelled, but the live music performance will proceed as planned inside the New York Lounge, which will be available for guests from 6:30 PM; drinks can be ordered freely during that time.

Live Jazz from Aichi University's Blue Stars Jazz Orchestra
In the fantastical, blue-lit Cabana Garden, a nearly 30-member student ensemble, the Blue Stars Jazz Orchestra of Aichi University's light music club, will perform live jazz that carries through the summer night air. Together with the fine bubbles of Chandon Brut and the breeze off the water, the performance adds a dramatic touch to this one-night-only blue evening.
Best Dresser Award: A Pair of Restaurant Tickets for One Winner

Taking the stage for this event is the Blue Stars Jazz Orchestra, the light music club of Aichi University, which focuses on contemporary jazz. As a student big band, the group practices daily for national competitions and live performances held one or two times a month. Chandon Brut received the "Best Australian Sparkling Wine" award, presented to the top sparkling wine in the Australian sparkling wine category at the 2024 Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships.
