NEWSED Releases Re Acryl Pokkoshi Keychain Made from Upcycled Acrylic Scraps

NEWSED, an upcycling and sustainability-focused brand from art goods maker Ken Elephant, is releasing Re Acryl Pokkoshi Keychain, inspired by the original IP character Pokkoshi, starting August 1, 2026 (Saturday), priced at ¥1,320 (tax included).

About Pokkoshi

Pokkoshi is Ken Elephant's first original IP character, its design created by plush toy artist Munyu, known for quirky yet adorable character designs. Peculiar yet lovable, Pokkoshi is said to live somewhere in a parallel world, wandering here and there each day while swaying its fluffy body, spending each day having fun.

So far, 25 Pokkoshi friends have appeared. Because some of the characters share the same shape in different colors, this product comes in 16 variations.

The material is upcycled acrylic — offcuts generated during processing, along with deadstock acrylic that had gone unused — so the color and pattern differ from piece to piece, making each one unique.

About NEWSED

NEWSED is an upcycling brand that looks at items that have grown old from a new perspective, giving them new life in a different form. So far, it has developed and produced a range of products, starting with Acryl Tag Plate, made from acrylic offcuts from factories that produce accessory parts and store fixtures, as well as items that make use of offcuts from xylophone keys and discarded seatbelt webbing.

Rather than simply making use of the materials, the brand also places importance on the production background behind the scraps and offcuts, developing products while building a story around why each one takes on its particular new form.
