Okazaki Rakunoyu (大庭園露天風呂 おかざき楽の湯) in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture, will hold a collaboration event with the Great Ieyasu-kō "Aoi" Busho-tai (グレート家康公「葵」武将隊) from Sunday, November 1 to Monday, November 30, 2026. Okazaki is the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu, and the event brings the city's history together with baths and saunas, with the ruler of the realm standing at the bandai (attendant's seat) and Sengoku warlords delivering heat waves in the sauna.
The theme is "Ofuro de Tenka Toitsu!? (お風呂で天下湯一(てんかとういつ)!?)". During the period, a bright red bath inspired by Ii Naomasa's "akazonae" (red armor), a golden salt sauna inspired by Tokugawa Ieyasu, and limited-time dishes themed on Sengoku warlords will be available. On Monday, November 23 (national holiday), Tokugawa Ieyasu and Ii Naomasa will visit Rakunoyu for a heat-wave sauna event, a greeting at the bandai, a grand bingo game, and a rock-paper-scissors tournament.
Visitors can soak in the bath, feel the heat in the sauna, and enjoy a meal, all as a Sengoku experience unique to Okazaki.
Ii Naomasa's Bath: The Red Armor Comes to the Bath
Ii Naomasa is known as one of the Four Heavenly Kings of the Tokugawa (徳川四天王), and his "akazonae" red armor is closely associated with his name. For this event, part of the open-air bath is dyed a vivid red to evoke the world of the Sengoku warlords.

Sustainaburo® (サステナブロ®): Warming the Community From the Bath
Rakunoyu is working on the sustainable public bath initiative Sustainaburo® (サステナブロ®) under the theme of "warming the community from the bath." Starting from a bathing facility close to local life, the initiative aims to connect people, the community, and the future. This collaboration is one part of that effort.
Okazaki is widely known as the birthplace of Tokugawa Ieyasu. By combining its history and culture with the familiar experience of baths and saunas, the event aims to give even people who have not been interested in history a chance to discover the appeal of the area.
