Watami Organic Land, a subsidiary of Watami Co., Ltd. (based in Ota Ward, Tokyo), has announced that the popular winter-limited "Winter Camp" plan will return until the end of February 2026.
A New Kind of Winter Camping Experience
The "Winter Camp" offers a unique camping concept where tents are set up inside a wooden house that can accommodate up to 80 people for dining. This allows guests to enjoy camping without worrying about rain or snow. All tents and equipment are provided by the facility, making hands-free camping possible.
The facility is fully equipped with heating equipment including stoves, kotatsu (heated tables), and hot carpets, ensuring a comfortable stay even during the cold winter season. Optional BBQ sets using locally sourced meats and hands-on hamburger-making experiences using ingredients from the farm are also available.
New Solar-Powered Illuminations
New this year is the introduction of "Umi to Mori to Taiyo no Illumination" (Sea, Forest, and Sun Illumination), which uses solar-powered lighting. This gentle illumination that harmonizes with nature creates a fantastical atmosphere, adding to the extraordinary experience.

About Rikuzentakata Watami Organic Land
Rikuzentakata Watami Organic Land is an agricultural theme park centered on organic and circular society themes, which opened on April 29, 2021, in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture. Working in collaboration with the city, the park plans to develop various facilities including farms, ranches, outdoor music halls, and power generation facilities over the next 20 years on its vast 23-hectare site (equivalent to five Tokyo Domes). The facility realizes Watami Group's circular 6th industry model using renewable energy by producing agricultural products, creating processed goods from them, and handling sales all within the operation.
Through camping experiences, Watami Organic Land aims to provide opportunities for visitors to experience the richness and severity of Rikuzentakata's nature and to feel the "cycle of life" and "preciousness of life." The organization continues to contribute to disaster recovery and regional revitalization while supporting the activation of Iwate Prefecture and Rikuzentakata City.
