Introducing New Pairings with Strawberries: Blackberry Tea, Hojicha, Hazelnuts, and More
The Lobby Lounge on the first floor presents its luxurious Strawberry Afternoon Tea featuring seasonal strawberries once again this year. For this season's sweets, Executive Pastry Chef Frederic explores the appeal of premium Japanese strawberries. He has carefully selected rich-flavored ingredients that pair beautifully with strawberries, including blackberry tea, hojicha, chocolate, nuts, and cheese, to propose new flavor marriages.
The "Hojicha Pudding with Caramel Banana Chantilly" combines smoky hojicha pudding with caramel jam, banana chantilly, and fresh strawberries, showcasing new possibilities for strawberries. The "Basil Cheese Scone," made with Emmental cheese, pairs perfectly with strawberry sauce. Another signature creation from French-born Chef Frederic is an evolved take on the brioche Swiss, believed to have originated in France. The "Hazelnut Chocolate Pain Swiss" wraps hazelnut custard in brioche and goes exceptionally well with sweet and tangy strawberry sweets. Banquet Chef Katayama's savory selections include "Roast Beef and Strawberry Blini Sandwich" and other elegantly pink items using seasonal ingredients.

As the Valentine's season approaches, chocolate becomes irresistible.
The Ritz-Carlton, Osaka presents the Strawberry Afternoon Buffet - Salon du Strawberry -, matching various forms of chocolate with the annually popular strawberry buffet.
Guests can enjoy a diverse array of sweets including "Gianduja Chocolate with Blackberry Tea Chantilly," which features hazelnut gianduja topped with sweet and tangy strawberry jelly wrapped in white chocolate and finished with blackberry tea mousse and fresh strawberries, as well as "Strawberry Tiramisu," combining mascarpone strawberry mousse made with hotel-made mascarpone cheese with bittersweet tiramisu. Like last year, fresh strawberries are also available to enjoy their flavor, acidity, and sweetness directly.
The chocolate fountain features aromatic dark chocolate with pronounced cocoa flavor. Guests can dip chef's special sweets such as strawberry marshmallows and madeleines to enjoy the luxurious marriage of rich cocoa and fruit sweetness.
At the live station, "Warm Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream and Strawberry" is prepared fresh in front of guests, layering warm chocolate fondant with fruity strawberry compote and topping with vanilla ice cream. Enjoy the exquisite harmony of warm chocolate and cool ice cream.
Chef Seishi Aoshima, head chef of Italian restaurant Splendido, has created nine savory dishes. The lineup showcases dishes utilizing seasonal ingredients, from "Strawberry and Beet Bruschetta" where beet sweetness and acidity enhance strawberry flavor, to mascarpone risotto with balsamic-sautéed strawberries, and "Four Cheese and Apple Trofiette Pasta" inspired by traditional Italian cuisine, demonstrating Chef Aoshima's deep understanding of Italian food culture.
This year, a dedicated photo and video shooting time is provided before the buffet begins.
