Tennoji Izakaya "Robata to Kaisen" Offers Free Course for Guest of Honor With Group Bookings of 8 or More

Robata to Kaisen Tennoji Izakaya Honten, located on the 16th floor of the Abeno Lucias building in Osaka's Tennoji area, is running a "Guest of Honor Dines Free" campaign for spring welcome and farewell parties through April 30, 2026. Groups of 8 or more can take advantage of the offer, with availability limited to 2 groups per day.

The restaurant specializes in robatayaki, particularly a style known as genshi-yaki (primitive grilling), where fresh fish is stood upright around a charcoal fire and slow-roasted until the outside is crispy and the inside is tender. The signature dish, the "Large Fatty Sardine Primitive Grill," is prepared tableside by skilled chefs, filling the dining area with the aroma of charcoal smoke.

Recommended Party Courses

Both courses below include all-you-can-drink.

Genshi-yaki Course

Features the signature "Large Fatty Sardine Primitive Grill" along with the chef's recommended sushi of the day. This is the restaurant's most popular party plan.

  • Price: ¥4,500 (tax included, all-you-can-drink included)

Genshi-yaki & Sashimi Course

A more indulgent option for seafood enthusiasts, combining a platter of 5 seasonal sashimi varieties with genshi-yaki dishes.

  • Price: ¥5,000 (tax included, all-you-can-drink included)

Three Highlights of the Campaign

1. Group Booking Perk: One Guest Dines Free

For groups of 8 or more, the course fee for one guest of honor is fully covered. The offer applies Monday through Thursday only, excluding public holidays and the eves of public holidays. Availability is capped at 2 groups per day, so reservations are recommended well in advance.

2. Charcoal-Fire Genshi-yaki: A Live Dining Experience

The restaurant's defining cooking style involves standing whole fish around a charcoal fire and letting them slow-roast over time. The rising smoke, crackling fire, and the aroma of the charcoal all create an atmosphere that's distinctly different from conventional robatayaki, adding a theatrical quality to the meal.

3. A Modern Japanese Setting With Tennoji Skyline Views

Situated on the 16th floor of the Abeno Lucias building, the restaurant's interior takes a contemporary Japanese approach—warm and low-lit, with large windows that look out over the Tennoji cityscape after dark. The space suits a range of group sizes, from large-scale banquets to more intimate gatherings.
