The second coin in the Royal Mint's Winnie-the-Pooh 100th anniversary series went on sale on April 28, 2026. The new release is available through Coin Palace, the official Royal Mint dealer in Japan.
Product Overview

Winnie-the-Pooh is the beloved bear created by A.A. Milne (Alan Alexander Milne) and introduced in the 1926 children's book Winnie the Pooh. The character has become a timeless classic cherished across generations worldwide. Disney's subsequent animated adaptation brought the now-iconic image of Pooh in his red shirt to a global audience.
This year, the Royal Mint launched a third-chapter coin series to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the original story. The first release, themed "Kindness", went on sale in mid-February and attracted tremendous interest, with demand far exceeding initial expectations.
Now, the second release has arrived. Its theme is "Loyalty." The coin design shows Pooh walking as if guided by Christopher Robin, with the artwork focusing on the loyalty and trust shared between the two characters. The warm, approachable design was created with the involvement of the Disney design team.
The lineup includes:
- Cupronickel coin
- Color silver coin (exclusive to Coin Palace)
- Gold coin (exclusive to Coin Palace)
As with the previous release, strong demand is anticipated. Those interested are encouraged to consider purchasing early.
