Nihonbashi, the historic center of Edo, once flourished as a great city that rivaled Paris and London. Tokyo Afrodite, housed in a renovated historic building, is a wedding venue set inside a classical Western-style mansion built 100 years ago. This special space, normally reserved exclusively for one wedding party at a time, opens to the public this summer only for the "Italian Beer Garden & Hall."
The menu features Italian dishes designed to pair with both beer and wine, including summer vegetable caponata, tuna prosciutto cappellini with peach soup, cheese-loaded lasagna, and a hearty grilled cut of select pork shoulder. Guests can enjoy the chef's specialty dishes alongside their drinks of choice.
To beat the summer heat once again this year, guests start with a toast in the greenery-filled rooftop garden before moving indoors, where the rest of the meal and drinks can be enjoyed in comfortable, cool surroundings. It's a chance to spend a relaxing evening away from the bustle of the city.
