Torisora, the yakitori restaurant born from the Torishiki ICHIMON lineage in the Meguro area, is reopening on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 with a fresh concept — a shift from OMAKASE (chef's choice) to OKONOMI (your choice).

From "Being Chosen For" to "Choosing for Yourself"

Under the new format, the restaurant moves away from the set omakase course and returns to the roots of yakitori culture: the street stall (yatai) style, where guests order freely from an à la carte menu. Visitors can enjoy exactly the skewers they want, at their own pace.

The skilled preparation that Torishiki ICHIMON has cultivated over the years — each skewer grilled with care — remains unchanged. What changes is the freedom handed back to the guest.

A New Name for a New Chapter

Alongside the concept change, the restaurant's name has been updated from the hiragana reading "torisora" (とりそら) to kanji "鳥そら" (Torisora). The character "鳥" (bird) reflects the team's respect for the ingredient and the resolve of the craftspeople who dedicate themselves to perfecting every single skewer.

Menu and Atmosphere

The menu centers on a wide selection of yakitori skewers and side dishes prepared using Torishiki's signature "high-heat direct flame" technique. Guests can pair skewers with carefully selected Japanese sake, building their own ideal meal from start to finish.
