UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE (Ukyo-ku, Kyoto), operated by the Toei Group, is heading to Tokyo Bay's night sky. From Friday, September 4, 2026, the park is sponsoring the large-scale drone show "ODAIBA DRONE SHOW 2026," held in front of the Marine House at Odaiba Marine Park (organized by the ODAIBA DRONE SHOW 2026 Executive Committee, made up of Drone Show Japan Co., Ltd. and ULTRA PLANET Co., Ltd.), and staging an original UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE performance using 1,000 drones.
UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE marked its 50th anniversary in 2025 and completed the first phase of its renewal on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Under the new concept "Wandering into Edo-period Kyoto," the park has been reborn as an immersive experience park for adults, and its name changed accordingly. This performance marks the first time the park has projected the filmmaking world it has built up in Kyoto's Uzumasa district into the night sky above Tokyo Bay.
Alongside it, the show also promotes "怪々YOKAI祭 2026" — the first autumn event since the renewal, already underway — bringing the world of yokai born in Kyoto's night to visitors in the greater Tokyo area via the drones above Odaiba.

The Performance's Two Scenes
The UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE performance is made up of two scenes.
Scene 1 — The UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE logo appears in the night sky, with the name "UZUMASA" rising large against the backdrop of Rainbow Bridge.
Scene 2 — The logo and message for "怪々YOKAI祭 2026" appear, announcing the autumn yokai event that opened on September 12 (Saturday), rendered through dynamic, movement-filled imagery.
The content of the performance may change depending on production progress and coordination with related parties.

Comment from President Sugawara (菅原 史)
"This year, UZUMASA KYOTO VILLAGE underwent the first large-scale renewal in its 50-year history. How do we carry our filmmaking craft and the world of period dramas forward into the next 50 years? This drone show is one answer to that challenge. The name of our film village in Kyoto rises into Tokyo Bay's night sky, drawn by 1,000 drones. I hope this becomes a chance for visitors in the greater Tokyo area who have never known our village to discover it, alongside the '怪々YOKAI祭' opening in September."
