"YOKOHAMA TEA FES: Time for Tea and Sweets – New Tea and Japanese Sweets" is set to be held at MM Terrace in Minato Mirai, Yokohama, on June 20 (Saturday) and 21 (Sunday), 2026.
Yokohama has long developed as a port city where tea cultures from around the world have intersected — Japanese green tea, English tea, Chinese tea, and more. This event was born from a desire to showcase the diverse charms of tea across all genres to as many people as possible, with the city of Yokohama as its stage.
Theme: New Tea and Japanese Sweets
With new-harvest teas at their peak, tea gardens from Shizuoka and Kanagawa, along with specialty shops from within Yokohama, will gather to introduce their carefully selected teas. Over the two days, visitors can encounter a wide variety of teas including Japanese green tea, Japanese black tea (wa-kocha), Taiwanese tea, and domestic herbal tea.

Alongside tea, there will be plenty of wagashi (Japanese traditional sweets), baked goods made with tea and rice flour, and other sweets to enhance the tea experience. A special dorayaki showcase is also planned, featuring everything from classic dorayaki to seasonal-fruit varieties and rice-flour versions, with each participating shop's signature style on display.

Tea tasting is also planned at the venue. Visitors can search for their favorite teas and sweets, and also discover teaware and craft pieces to enrich their at-home tea time.
