Question
Do you have any recommendations for restaurants in Kyoto that serve great breakfast? If possible, I'd love to try a traditional Japanese-style meal in a calm space where I can enjoy the morning atmosphere.

I recommend M & Maison KYOTO!
It's a New York–born Japanese restaurant with a wa-modern (Japanese-modern) atmosphere. The dishes are served on a single plate, but the menu changes with the seasons and features ingredients that feel very Japanese—so don't worry, you'll definitely get that authentic taste!
You can experience a traditional Japanese ichiju-gosai style breakfast, which includes rice, miso soup, and five small side dishes, all beautifully presented and full of flavor.
When I visited, I ordered the optional grilled corn rice, and they actually grilled the corn right in front of me—it was so fragrant and incredibly delicious!
It truly became an unforgettable breakfast experience. I highly recommend visiting if you're in Kyoto! 🍚🌿
