Cross Hotel Osaka Adds Croque Monsieur and Yaki Onigiri to Its Breakfast Buffet Live Kitchen

TERRACE & DINING ZERO, the restaurant at Cross Hotel Osaka (Chuo-ku, Osaka; General Manager Nobuharu Takahashi), is adding two new dishes to its breakfast buffet live kitchen menu from Wednesday, July 15, 2026: a Naniwa Pork Croque Monsieur and a Teppan-Grilled Yaki Onigiri, both served on a rotating daily basis.

Breakfast-included stay plans can be booked through the official Cross Hotel Osaka website. Guests not staying at the hotel can also reserve breakfast on its own through TERRACE & DINING ZERO's official reservation site.

Teppan-Grilled Yaki Onigiri

The Naniwa Pork Croque Monsieur features Naniwa pork, an Osaka ingredient marinated for a full day and confited with whole black peppercorns, bay leaf, and garlic. It's sandwiched between slices of bread with béchamel sauce, red cheddar, and Gruyère cheese, then baked until golden and fragrant. The umami of the Naniwa pork layers with the richness of melted cheese for an indulgent flavor.

The Teppan-Grilled Yaki Onigiri, made using the teppan griddle that's a staple of Osaka's food culture, is soaked through with a soy-based sauce and grilled until fragrant, giving it the aroma of slightly charred rice and a crisp texture. Each brushing of the sauce releases a wave of soy aroma that pleasantly stirs the morning appetite.

Both dishes are served freshly cooked and piping hot straight from the live kitchen. Alongside the classic fluffy omelette, guests can enjoy the rotating Naniwa Pork Croque Monsieur and Teppan-Grilled Yaki Onigiri for a breakfast that feels special to a trip.
