Hakone Kowakien Tenyu (箱根小涌園 天悠), located in Ninotaira, Hakone, Kanagawa, has renovated its in-house restaurant "Dining Hakone" and added a free-flow (unlimited drinks) option to its popular premium dinner buffet, available from May 29, 2026 (Friday). The new format presents the meal as an all-inclusive style experience.
The inn has long offered a dinner buffet featuring seasonal ingredients, aiming to make the dining experience itself a highlight of each stay. The newly introduced free-flow option adds the enjoyment of pairing drinks with food, along with the experience of crafting personalized cocktails — creating broader appeal for a variety of guests.
Drinks Lineup
The free-flow selection includes a range of standard drinks: beer, highball, and sours. Beers featured include Sapporo Black Label, Sapporo SORACHI 1984, and Asahi Super Dry. Sours and highball options include Sapporo Sour Hyosai 1984, Taru-High Club Lemon, and Black Nikka / Dewar's highball.
A standout feature is the use of "1883 MAISON ROUTIN" (1883 メゾン・ルータン), a premium natural syrup brand from France. Guests can mix their own colorful cocktails using sparkling wine, gin, vodka, or liqueurs as a base, with the syrups adding vibrant colors and aromatic complexity for a truly personalized cocktail experience.
Also making its debut in the Hakone area is the "Extra Burst" (エクストラバースト), a high-carbonation draft tower offering non-alcoholic sparkling beverages. The system delivers a finely beaded, sharp carbonation that enhances the refreshing experience.
