Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort will hold festive events and limited-time special menus for the year-end and New Year holidays, from Sunday, December 27, 2026 to Thursday, January 7, 2027.
On New Year's Eve, a "108 Sun Salutations" yoga session offers a chance to close out the year by reflecting on oneself. A countdown laser show and a DJ event then mark the start of the new year. On New Year's Day, the lineup includes a mochi-pounding experience and an Eisa performance, a traditional Okinawan performing art, with events planned for the whole family.
The hotel's restaurants will also serve limited-time menus available only during this period, including toshikoshi soba (New Year's Eve noodles) and an osechi breakfast.

Kadomatsu
Kadomatsu, traditional Japanese New Year decorations that express wishes for happiness and prosperity in the coming year, will be set up in three places in the hotel, including the hotel entrance, to welcome the new year.

108 Sun Salutations
This yoga event on New Year's Eve invites participants to close out the year by reflecting on themselves. Repeating the sun salutation 108 times is meant to settle the mind and body before the new year begins. To make it accessible to first-time participants, the sun salutation, normally made up of 12 poses, has been arranged into 10 poses. Both experienced practitioners and beginners can take part.

Countdown Laser Show & DJ Event
A countdown laser show will be held on the night of New Year's Eve at Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort. Lasers light up the resort's night sky with music and lighting effects as the new year approaches. A live DJ performance adds to the atmosphere, and at the moment of the countdown, the Okinawan night is surrounded by celebratory light.
A similar countdown event will also be held at the 43 West Rooftop Bar of the neighboring DoubleTree by Hilton Okinawa Chatan Resort, where guests can see in the new year with music from an open-air rooftop.

New Year's Day Celebration
On the morning of New Year's Day, a celebration marks the arrival of the new year. It begins with kagami biraki, followed by an Eisa performance, a traditional Okinawan performing art. Freshly pounded mochi will also be available, and all hotel guests can take part free of charge.

Fireworks
On the night of January 1, fireworks will be launched over the Chatan seaside. The resort overlooks the East China Sea, and the fireworks can also be viewed from guest room balconies and terraces.

Buffet Restaurant Suriyun
A special buffet will be held for the year-end and New Year period. The lineup includes two kinds of snow crab, nigiri sushi, seafood rice bowls, and freshly fried tempura. Among the hot dishes is a Honey Mustard Lamb Roast, slow-roasted at a low temperature, with the lamb's rich flavor and a refreshing orange aroma.
For dinner only, the buffet also offers Wagyu shabu-shabu. The beef is sliced to a thickness of 2 mm and can be enjoyed in two kinds of soup: a deeply flavored hot pot soup and a refined kombu dashi broth.

Italian Restaurant Corrente
An 8-course dinner themed around the splendor of the new year will be offered.
The course opens with a dish of kuruma prawn, abalone, and fruit tomato served with a rich shrimp broth. The fish course is scale-grilled tilefish (amadai), paired with a lily bulb potage flavored with a sweet Inamuduchi miso (イナムドゥチ味噌), used in Okinawan local cuisine. For the main course, a Japanese Black beef steak is topped with freshly shaved truffle and finished under a glass dome filled with cherry-wood chip smoke, releasing its aroma when the dome is opened. The steak comes with takikomi rice (seasoned rice cooked with its ingredients) made with Japanese Black beef tongue and bamboo shoots.
