Hotel Kintetsu Universal City (Shimaya 6-2-68, Konohana-ku, Osaka), an official hotel of Universal Studios Japan, is hosting a special summer buffet to mark the hotel's 25th anniversary. The "25th Anniversary Celebration Dinner Buffet" will be held at restaurant Epoch from Saturday, July 18 to Monday, August 31, 2026.
To celebrate 25 years and express gratitude to guests who have supported the hotel, the buffet will feature an impressive spread at the live kitchen stations: domestic beef teppanyaki, handmade nigiri sushi, chicken satay, bone-in sausages, and more hearty dishes. In the dessert corner, summery chilled sweets include mango shaved ice and the charming animal monaka ice cream sandwiches.
An additional lunch buffet will run for nine days during the Obon period, offering families and friends a relaxed midday option to enjoy the summer holidays together.

Live Kitchen Highlights
At the Japanese station, guests can enjoy four kinds of nigiri sushi — tuna, yellowtail, squid, and salmon — along with thick-rolled maki sushi, prepared with shari seasoned with red vinegar.
The teppan station brings one of Epoch's most popular dishes: domestic beef teppanyaki. The slices are cooked fresh to order and served piping hot.
Chilled Desserts for Summer
The dessert corner is anchored by Epoch's first-ever mango shaved ice: the ice itself is mango-flavored, so the rich fruit taste stays strong from the first bite to the last, without diluting as it melts. Optional toppings like soft-serve ice cream and sweet azuki beans let guests personalize their bowl.
Other desserts include the animal monaka (crispy wafer sandwiches with ice cream in cute animal shapes), berry trifle, and almond tofu.
