Let's Eat Ibaraki Harvest Festival Brings Ibaraki Food to Komazawa Olympic Park From November 21 to 23

Ibaraki Prefecture will hold the Let's Eat Ibaraki Harvest Festival 2026 (茨城をたべよう収穫祭2026), an event that introduces the food of Ibaraki, at the Central Plaza of Komazawa Olympic Park in Tokyo. It runs for three days, from Saturday, November 21 to Monday (holiday), November 23, 2026. Admission is free, and food and merchandise are paid.

Ibaraki, a "Kingdom of Food" Leading Japan in Many Ingredients

Ibaraki ranks first in Japan in production of many ingredients, including melons, chestnuts, lotus root, and dried sweet potatoes (hoshi-imo).

In 2025, the fruit and vegetable handling value of Ibaraki at the Tokyo Metropolitan Central Wholesale Market was ¥62.8 billion, a 10.7% share, and it ranked first in Japan for the 22nd year in a row. In other words, people in Tokyo are already eating a lot of Ibaraki food without realizing it.

When asked what Ibaraki is known for in food, there is not just one answer. At this festival, food from Ibaraki will be brought to Tokyo in full.

Four Featured Areas of Ibaraki Food
