The Izu Marriott Hotel Shuzenji in Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture is set to offer a summer-limited share-style dinner, "Brew & Spice Gathering -Summer Share Dinner-," at its restaurant Grill & Dining G from June 1 through August 31, 2026.

The dinner brings together the aromas of summer spices, the character of grilled dishes, and carefully selected craft beers on every sharing plate. Centered on ingredients from the Izu region, the menu features seasonal highlights from Amagi's clear mountain streams and local farms. Each course is designed to pair naturally with craft beers from Shuzenji's Baird Brewing, with three varieties recommended as part of the pairing experience.

Craft Beer Pairings

Three craft beers from Baird Brewing in Shuzenji have been selected to complement each course, creating pairings that draw out the distinct character of every dish.

Wabi Sabi Japan Pale Ale
Brewed with Shizuoka-grown wasabi and green tea, alongside several herbal hop varieties. A subtle yet characterful ale that lives up to its "wabi-sabi" name without overpowering the palate.

Teikoku IPA
Based on a traditional British recipe, this IPA balances floral hop aromas with biscuity malt character in a well-rounded profile.

Shuzenji Heritage Helles
A malt-forward lager with restrained bitterness, offering a gentle malt sweetness and a clean, refreshing finish.

Chef Takayuki Yura designed the menu around the theme of expressing the aroma of summer craft beers through cooking. Using Amagi and Izu ingredients as a foundation, layers of spice and the smokiness of grilling create a progression where food and beer naturally enhance each other. The share-style format is intended to encourage conversation at the table throughout the meal.
