A new live crab specialty restaurant "Kanijennu Azabu" opens on October 1st (Wednesday) in Azabu, Tokyo. This will be the fourth location of Kanijennu, following outlets in Ginza, Sapporo, and Kitashinchi.
Kanijennu is a specialty restaurant where guests can enjoy live crab and crab dishes prepared by dedicated chefs right before their eyes in completely private rooms. The restaurant serves every part of the crab, including claws, shells, and parts that can only be enjoyed from live crab such as the abdomen and heart, using cooking methods best suited for each part - raw, boiled (rare, medium, well-done), and grilled - ensuring nothing goes to waste.
In addition to the fresh crab that can only be tasted here, guests can experience rare "golden crab," caught at a rate of only one in several thousand, which is called the "phantom crab," as well as crab sake brewed from the shells of grilled crab - experiences unique to Kanijennu. The crab served is delivered directly from the source on the day it's caught, allowing guests to enjoy the same freshness as at the source while being in Tokyo.
The newly opened "Kanijennu Azabu" features an exclusive space with only 2 private rooms. Guests can choose between two types of private rooms - traditional sunken kotatsu-style seating or table seating - creating a special dining experience.
