Keio Plaza Hotel in Nishi-Shinjuku, Tokyo is set to offer "Sky Pool Plans" from July 6 to September 27, 2026, making its rooftop pool available to non-hotel guests for the first time in seven years. Since 2019, the 7th-floor sky pool had been reserved exclusively for hotel guests, but in response to the increasingly intense summer heat in recent years, the hotel is introducing plans that allow outside visitors to enjoy the pool as well.
Each plan bundles sky pool access with dining or drinks at one of the hotel's restaurants or lounges. Reservations open on June 19, 2026.
Sky Pool Plan Overview
The plans are available on weekdays from July 6 (Mon) to August 31 (Mon), excluding the Obon holiday period of August 8 (Sat) to August 16 (Sun). From September 1 (Tue) to September 27 (Sun), the plans are available every day.
Sky pool access under these plans is available from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
A total of five plans are offered, combining pool access with different dining venues:
- Super Buffet Glass Court (dinner buffet) – Through August 31, the restaurant is running a "Meat Festival" featuring domestic wagyu shabu-shabu, lamb chops, and pork poêle. The dinner buffet and sky pool combination is one of the flagship options.
- All-Day Dining Jurin (casual lunch) – A casual lunch with a choice of six main dishes.
- All-Day Dining Jurin (summer sweets buffet) – A seasonal sweets buffet available for a limited time.
- Cocktail & Tea Lounge (shaved ice) – Light refreshments with shaved ice.
- Sky Lounge Aurora (beer plan) – A beer plan with views from the upper floors.
A separate plan combining sky pool access with SKY PLAZA IBASHO on the 47th floor is also available.
Prices include service charge and taxes. Menu contents may change depending on season, weather, and ingredient availability. Advance reservation required for all plans. Discount and special offers cannot be combined with these plans.
7th Floor Sky Pool
Situated on the rooftop of the hotel's main building, the sky pool is surrounded by greenery and framed by the Nishi-Shinjuku high-rise skyline, offering a resort-like atmosphere in the heart of the city.
Operating Period: July 4 (Sat) to September 27 (Sun)
Hours: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM (last entry 7:30 PM)
Facilities:
- Main pool: 17.0m × 9.0m, average depth 1.2m
- Children's circular pool: approx. 6m diameter (knee-deep for adults)
- Women's changing room with 5 shower booths
- Men's changing room with 3 shower booths
Operating hours are subject to change without notice. The pool may close in poor weather conditions. Hotel guests can continue to use the pool free of charge as before.
47th Floor: SKY PLAZA IBASHO
Opened in March 2024, SKY PLAZA IBASHO is a roughly 1,100㎡ relaxation space on the 47th floor, designed around the concept of "your place, to spend time however you like." The space is divided into six zones — Library, Lounge, Garden, Park, Multipurpose, and Hall — with a total of 231 seats. Views from approximately 170 meters above ground offer a sweeping panorama of Tokyo.
The Library zone is equipped with power outlets and USB ports for working. The Park zone features hammocks and lanterns for a casual outdoor feel. Private rooms in the Multipurpose zone can be booked for online meetings or karaoke. Free soft drinks are available, and coffee drinks made with Starbucks beans (café lattes, cappuccinos) are served through the "We Proudly Serve Starbucks® Coffee Program." A bar counter also offers beer, cocktails, and snacks. This summer, approximately 5,000 manga volumes will be available on a seasonal basis.
