A new capsule toy series themed around OB1TOY's "Midnight Department Store" is set to launch at capsule toy vending machines across Japan from mid-May 2026. Released by IP4 Inc., the collection is priced at 400 yen per turn (tax included) and comes in five varieties.
About the Collection
OB1TOY is the creation of illustrator and graphic designer OB1, whose work is built around a "retro and cute" aesthetic — a style that feels both nostalgic and fresh. The "Midnight Department Store" concept imagines a mysterious department store that only opens on Halloween night, filled with whimsical motifs such as "Ghost Bakery" and "Magic Soap Shop."
This fabric assortment collection brings those fantastical designs into everyday use, making it easy to get lost in a little daydream just by looking at them.
Product Lineup
The Tote Bag with Gusset stands 280mm tall and features side gussets, making it a practical companion for everyday outings.
