Yuno Mori Hotel Shidotaira, a stream-side onsen resort in Hanamaki, Iwate, is holding a "Happy Easter at Shidotaira" event from April 10 (Friday) to June 30 (Tuesday), 2026. The program includes a collaboration buffet with Iwate-based poultry company Amatake, alongside a range of family-friendly participatory events throughout the spring season.
1. Amatake Collaboration Buffet

This year's Easter buffet is a collaboration with Amatake, an Iwate livestock company recognized for its premium poultry products. The menu centers on dishes co-developed using Amatake's "Tanohata Duck" and "French Red Chicken raised in Iwate."
The buffet concept — "an extra step of care makes the ordinary extraordinary" — reflects Amatake's production philosophy and the attention to detail behind each dish.

Tanohata Duck Roast with Iwate Mountain Grape Sauce

Instead of the classic orange sauce, this dish uses rich mountain grape juice from Iwate, creating a deeply layered sweet-and-tart profile that highlights the umami of Tanohata Duck. A dish available exclusively here.
Tanohata Duck Prosciutto and Colorful Vegetable Pinchos

Carefully selected vegetables complement the delicate flavor of Tanohata Duck prosciutto. A light, springlike starter that combines saltiness, richness, and the freshness of seasonal produce.
Amatake's French Red Chicken Karaage

Double-fried for a crispy exterior and juicy interior, this dish lets the quality of the French Red Chicken shine through straightforwardly.
Salad Chicken Lemon Pasta

Featuring tender salad chicken tossed in a lemon-scented sauce, with a hint of ginger that ties the dish together and leaves a pleasant finish.
Tanohata Duck Kamo Nanban Soba

A rich broth made from concentrated Tanohata Duck stock coats every strand of soba. Hearty without being heavy, it makes for a satisfying end to the meal.

2. Original Easter Egg Painting



Guests can paint a wooden egg made from domestic Japanese timber. The natural wood scent adds to the experience, and the finished piece can serve as an ornament or decorative item at home.

4. Easter Egg Count Quiz
