The Pulse Kirishima, a hotel in Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture, will hold its "Marugoto Kani Matsuri" (まるごと かに祭) crab festival from Tuesday, December 1, 2026 through Sunday, February 28, 2027. The dinner buffet offers about 20 all-you-can-eat crab dishes, starting with honzuwai snow crab legs. At the live kitchen, guests can also have crab ramen that draws on the flavor of crab broth and crab fried rice finished on a teppan griddle.
About 20 Crab Dishes at the Dinner Buffet, Including Snow Crab Legs
The highlight of the dinner buffet is honzuwai snow crab legs. Guests can enjoy the meaty crab legs all-you-can-eat, alongside about 20 crab dishes.
The lineup includes a gratin served in a crab shell, crab and tobiko (flying fish roe) chirashi sushi decorated with shredded egg crepe and tobiko, and satsuma-age (fried fish cake), a Kagoshima local dish, made with crab. The menu also features crab chawanmushi (savory steamed egg custard), crab claw cream croquettes, crab shumai, and komatsuna (Japanese mustard spinach) and crab ohitashi, with items ranging from à la carte dishes to small side bowls.

The crab ramen features a soup that draws out the flavor of crab broth.
The crab fried rice is stir-fried on a teppan griddle until fragrant and served freshly made.
Yellowtail and Mikan, Winter Flavors of Kagoshima, Alongside the Crab
In addition to crab, the buffet offers yellowtail (buri) dishes and sweets made with Kagoshima-grown mikan (mandarin oranges) as winter flavors of Kagoshima.
The yellowtail dishes include seared yellowtail sushi with black vinegar, teriyaki yellowtail, simmered yellowtail and daikon radish, and a yellowtail cutlet nanban-style with tartar sauce.
The dessert lineup includes sweets made with Kagoshima-grown mikan, such as jelly, mousse, and roll cake, and the soft serve ice cream also comes in a mikan flavor.
From the Restaurant to the Gift Shop
"Marugoto Kani Matsuri" runs not only in the restaurant but also at the hotel's gift shop. Crab-themed souvenirs and other items are on sale, so guests can enjoy both the meal and souvenir shopping inside the hotel.
