Futaba Fruits Parlor, born from a collaboration between long-established Nakano fruit shop Futaba Fruits and Cafe Company, is bringing a new seasonal menu to its Shinjuku and Kawasaki locations starting July 14. The parfait and smoothie pair rich, melt-in-your-mouth Gracias mango with the bright acidity of passion fruit.
A Summer Fruit Experience for the Senses
Futaba Fruits Parlor grew out of a collaboration with Futaba Fruits, a fruit shop with more than 80 years of history near Nakano Station. The parlor's approach is to serve each season's fruit at its most delicious, in the form that shows it off best.
This summer's star is Gracias mango, known for its melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich aroma. It's paired with passion fruit, whose bright acidity and fragrant scent balance the mango's richness, aiming for a combination that feels indulgent yet light and refreshing in the heat.
The pairing comes together in two items: the Tropical Veil Parfait Mango & Passion Fruit and the Fruit Shop Smoothie Mango & Passion Fruit, each showcasing the balance of mango's sweetness and passion fruit's tartness in a different style.

Third-generation owner Daisuke Naruse is a fruit connoisseur with deep ties to producers across Japan, bringing customers both familiar favorites and rare, high-quality varieties personally selected by him that aren't found elsewhere.
