Bonsalute Cafe, the first-floor restaurant at Hotel Gracery Sapporo (Chuo-ku, Sapporo; General Manager: Satoshi Haga), is hosting a limited-time lunch buffet called "Sweet Temptation: Melon & Sweets Summer Lunch Buffet" from Saturday, July 18 through Sunday, July 26, 2026. Online reservations opened on the hotel's official website at 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 9, 2026.

Held four times a year around a seasonal fruit theme, the buffet has become a popular draw at the hotel, with some sessions selling out shortly after reservations open. This is the third installment of 2026, and the featured fruit is melon, a quintessential taste of Hokkaido summer. Both red-flesh and green-flesh melons are cut and set out for guests to enjoy as much as they like, letting visitors compare the aroma, juiciness, and differing sweetness and texture between varieties. Melon also contains vitamin C and beta-carotene, making it a refreshing pick for the hot season, whether for a lunch treat alone or a meal with family or friends.
New this time is a self-serve shaved ice corner. An electric shaved ice machine produces fluffy shaved ice that guests can top with their choice of syrup and toppings for a cooling summer treat. The pancake machine that proved popular last time and the perennial favorite cake, which guests can freely cut to their own preferred size, are also returning. Beyond desserts, the buffet includes a range of summer lunch dishes, such as eggplant and tuna tomato pizza, chilled soy milk soup, and corn rice.

Hotel Gracery Sapporo is about a 1-minute walk from the south exit of JR Sapporo Station and connects directly to Sapporo subway station, offering comfortable access regardless of weather. In late June 2026, the hotel completed a major renovation of its guest rooms, lobby, and lounge. Its breakfast buffet, which includes a self-serve seafood rice bowl guests can top to their liking alongside other Hokkaido specialties, is also popular among visitors to Sapporo for sightseeing or business.
