All Day Dining SATSUKI at Hotel New Otani Makuhari is hosting the Super Sweets Buffet 2026, a seasonal spread of desserts made with lush summer fruits alongside a variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes. The buffet runs on Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and select dates from July 4 (Saturday) to August 30 (Sunday), 2026, with the theme changing each month — strawberry, melon, and mango take center stage in July, followed by melon, mango, and peach in August.
Strawberry, Melon & Mango Take the Spotlight This July

The Super Sweets Buffet has long showcased seasonal ingredients at their peak. As summer arrives in full force this July, the lineup turns to a vibrant trio of fruits: tart-sweet strawberries, delicately sweet and juicy melon, and fragrant, tropical mango — a combination guaranteed to capture the flavor of the season.
Compare Three Types of Shortcake, Plus All-You-Can-Eat Napoleon Pie

This month's limited-time sweets buffet features three types of shortcake, including entries from Hotel New Otani's signature "Super Series" desserts. The lineup includes the classic Strawberry Shortcake, simple yet fragrant with tart-sweet strawberries; the Super Melon Shortcake, Hotel New Otani's signature dessert made with carefully selected musk melon with a sugar content of 14 degrees or higher; and the Mango Shortcake, wrapped in smooth cream and bursting with the rich sweetness and aroma of fully ripened mango. Guests can enjoy all three flavors side by side for a luxurious shortcake tasting.
Also joining the buffet in generous portions is the long-beloved Napoleon Pie, layering fragrant pastry with custard cream and juicy strawberries for a rich balance of sweet custard and tangy fruit. Guests can help themselves to as much as they like.

The Super Melon Shortcake, made with carefully selected musk melon from Shizuoka Prefecture with a sugar content of 14 degrees or higher, showcases meticulous attention to every element — from sponge to cream — delivering the juicy flavor of musk melon even in buffet-sized portions. Also on offer is the Japanese-style Melon Roll, wrapping melon-flavored agar jelly, white bean paste, and small mochi rice cakes in a brown rice and egg sponge cake.
Cool glass desserts are also worth seeking out, including Strawberry Jelly packed with strawberry juice and Iwaizumi Yogurt Jelly (Mango), pairing jelly made with yogurt from Iwate Prefecture's Iwaizumi with rich mango jelly, both adding color to the buffet table.
Guests are invited to fully enjoy these hotel-quality desserts made with seasonal fruit.

Returning for dinner only is the Peach Shave Ice, a hit last year (excluded on certain dates), shaved fresh in front of guests by the chef and served during a timed service. This chilled treat also makes a refreshing palate cleanser.
Classic Hotel Fare in Japanese, Western & Chinese Styles for Three Generations to Enjoy

A wide variety of classic hotel dishes round out the buffet, including a build-your-own seafood rice bowl piled high with salmon roe, tuna, and other favorite toppings, along with the hotel's traditional roast beef and freshly fried tempura and kakiage, all prepared live by chefs for a freshly made experience.
New stone-oven pizzas also join the lineup: the refreshing Salmon and Arugula Pizza with Basil (lunch only) and the appetite-whetting Pulled Pork BBQ Keema Curry Pizza (dinner only), both made with a chewy, New York-style crust for a flavor unlike anything guests have tried before.

Alongside a sukiyaki rice bowl with a mildly sweet, appetite-whetting sauce, the buffet also offers karaage fried chicken and fried shrimp, plus kid-favorite dishes like corn dogs and omurice, making it easy for three generations of family members to enjoy together across a wide range of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes.
Guests are invited to savor both the hotel chefs' carefully crafted dishes and the luxurious desserts to their heart's content.
