Nara Hotel Opens Special Page for West Wing Renewal, with Exclusive Stay and Dining Offers

Nara Hotel, on a small hill beside Nara Park at 1096 Takabatake-cho, Nara, has completed a large-scale renewal of its new building and is marking the occasion with a special page rounding up the stay plans and dining offers tied to the reopening.

Known as the "guest house of Kansai," Nara Hotel carries a history and stature close to that of a state guest house, having hosted foreign dignitaries and members of the Imperial family. Its Main Building, with a tiled roof and lavish Momoyama-style interior blending Japanese and Western design, was designed by Kingo Tatsuno, the architect behind Tokyo Station and the Bank of Japan's head office, and continues to draw many guests today.

With this renewal, the hotel has renamed its new building the "West Wing," built around the concept of serene tranquility. Guest rooms reinterpret the Main Building's classic design in a contemporary style, and the calm teppanyaki restaurant "Hanagiku" adds to a quiet, refined atmosphere. Art pieces made using bricks from the hotel's founding are placed throughout the building, giving the space a sense of history, and the hotel is offering guests a distinctive stay experience shaped by that setting.

The special page brings together the various offers tied to the West Wing renewal, from a dinner-included stay plan at teppanyaki "Hanagiku" to lunch and dinner at the main dining room "Mikasa." Guests can enjoy Nara Hotel's classic atmosphere alongside seasonal, locally sourced dining.

Now in its 117th year, the hotel invites guests to enjoy a refined stay and meals that only a classic hotel can offer, alongside the new appeal of the West Wing.
