The Top Lounge on the 19th floor of Royal Pines Hotel Urawa, operated by Solare Hotels & Resorts, is introducing an autumn-only afternoon tea called "Autumn Grace Tea Salon" from Thursday, October 1. Built around seasonal ingredients such as pumpkin, chestnut, sweet potato, persimmon, fig, and grapes, the afternoon tea is themed on an elegant English aristocratic afternoon tea, set within a world reminiscent of paintings, books, and antiques, with sweets crafted by the hotel's pâtissier alongside savories from a French chef.
The specialite is "A Painting, 'Autumn Scenery' – An Autumn Harvest Drawn on a Plate," which packs autumn ingredients into a box styled like a picture frame. Apple jelly, Fuyu persimmon sauce, and brown rice tea blancmange are layered with Japanese chestnut marron cream and a chocolate crumble to depict an autumn scene on a single plate.
The afternoon tea is served with tea from Leafull Darjeeling House, described as Japan's leading Darjeeling specialty shop, pairing a single painting-like dish with the harvest of autumn for a noble afternoon tea experience.

Menu Highlights
Amuse
Two amuse-bouches greet guests as an "invitation" to the experience: a marron sablé topped with a guimauve bearing an invitation message, and a bite of Shine Muscat grape set over a white grape granite dressed with elderflower jelly.
Specialite

"A Painting, 'Autumn Scenery' – An Autumn Harvest Drawn on a Plate" layers apple jelly, Fuyu persimmon sauce, and brown rice tea blancmange with Japanese chestnut marron cream and a chocolate crumble, offering shifting flavors and textures across a single dish designed to be appreciated like a painting.
Sweets
The afternoon tea stand brings together sweets themed on autumn ingredients and stories.

Top tier: "Autumn Glow," a coffee jelly and marron cream dessert with a lit candle atop a framboise; "The Aristocrat's Study," a book-shaped opera cake made with chocolate sablé; and "Yellow Jewel," a caramel and pear bonbon chocolate.

Middle tier: "The Gentleman's Indulgence," a religieuse au chocolat dressed up with a bow tie and hat; "Stained Glass of Autumn Hues," a fruit tiramisu made with mascarpone cream in a chocolate cup, topped with persimmon, mango, kyoho grape, Shine Muscat, and strawberry under a glossy jelly styled like stained glass; "Autumn Glow at Dusk," a pumpkin tart topped with a Mont Blanc-style ripe pumpkin cream; and "Autumn Fruit Gateau," a chocolate shortcake pairing fig and kyoho grape.

Bottom tier: "Golden Depth," a marron brûlée topped with caramelized persimmon, and "An Afterglow by the Fireplace," a brown butter scone served with caramel sauce and clotted cream.
Savory

Savories from the hotel's French chef include a yuzu-scented marinated salmon with kombu-dashi écume; pumpkin gougères packed with rich pumpkin and plenty of Parmesan; a truffle and chestnut croquette coated in almond, served with fig jam; a chestnut and dried fruit cheese terrine with pistachio; roasted sweet potato gnocchi with caviar; a green olive and cashew hummus paired with confit Pacific saury; and an open sandwich of radish and brioche with brown butter.
Free-flow Drinks

Guests enjoy free-flow tea for the full 2-hour seating (last order 15 minutes before the end), curated from Leafull Darjeeling House's selection: Ten no Ue, a Japanese black tea from Minamata, Kumamoto, with light roast notes and a floral aroma; Marron, an Assam-based aroma tea with a gentle chestnut scent; Apple Cinnamon Tea; Earl Grey made with certified organic Darjeeling; and Darjeeling itself, a second-flush black tea.
