The Tokyu Kabukicho Tower in Shinjuku, Tokyo is rolling out a series of spring initiatives timed to cherry blossom season. Rickshaw rides through the Shinjuku and Kabukicho area are set to run from March 25 to May 5, and the spring issue of free inbound tourist magazine TOKYO CHEWY was published on March 16.

The rickshaw service and magazine are timed to the spring tourist season, when the number of inbound visitors to Japan tends to surge. Both initiatives aim to help visitors discover not just the Tokyu Kabukicho Tower but the wider Shinjuku and Kabukicho neighborhood.

Rickshaw ride

Rickshaw rides are available through the Shinjuku and Kabukicho area, offering a leisurely way to take in the neighborhood during cherry blossom season. Two pricing plans are available: ¥5,000 (includes sparkling wine "Chandon" and a gift) and ¥3,000 (rickshaw ride only).

Operating dates: March 25–28, April 1–4, April 8–11, April 30–May 5

Departure point: Tokyu Kabukicho Tower (Cinecity Plaza side)
How to board: Walk up to the departure point on the day — no reservations required.

The event spans limited-time decorations and collaborations at multiple floors, including B2F–3F ZEROTOKYO, 1F Wagyu Tokku, 2F Shinjuku Kabuki Hall–Kabukicho Yokocho, and 5F SHARI.

The popular mocktail lineup has also been refreshed with spring-inspired seasonal options. JAM17 BAR offers two spring-themed cocktails, while JAM17 GELATERIA carries cherry blossom anpan, sakura-scented donuts, financiers, and more.
