Shine Muscat and Pear Afternoon Tea Debuts at Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel This Autumn

Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel (1-1-1 Minato Mirai, Nishi-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa) is serving the "Shine Muscat and Pear Afternoon Tea" — a limited-time menu built around fruits that capture the flavors of autumn — at the Lounge & Bar "Marine Blue" on the second floor, from Monday, September 14 through Monday, November 30, 2026.

The stand's bottom tier is dedicated to shine muscat, a prized autumn fruit known for its juicy flesh, refreshing aroma, and delicate sweetness. Verrines and mousses generously featuring the jewel-like grapes line the tier, along with a daifuku filled with a whole shine muscat grape, where the fresh fruit and sweet red bean paste melt together in a blissful combination.

The second tier shifts focus to pear-centered autumn sweets: a shortcake showcasing fresh pear, a panna cotta pairing pear compote with the gentle bitterness of caramel, and a Mont Blanc tart hiding a layer of cassis jelly, each pairing highlighting the best of autumn's pears, chestnuts, and complementary flavors.

The savory selection features three items built around autumn flavors. A silky pumpkin and mascarpone mousse is paired with dried fruit for a balance that brings out the best in both. A tortilla roll wraps spicy jerk chicken in sour cream, finished with a kick of jalapeño. A warm salmon and white maitake mushroom quiche fills the palate with the aroma of butter and the taste of autumn.

The scones are made with chestnut paste kneaded into the dough, with a hint of rum and a rich vanilla aroma that bring out the chestnuts' natural sweetness.

Enjoy this afternoon tea packed with the best of autumn's bounty, paired with tea or coffee, while taking in the view of Yokohama Harbor through the window.
