The Shinpancake: A Signature Creation
The Shinpancake is one of the signature menu items at THE KAHALA Lounge. It was born 62 years ago at the opening of The Kahala Hotel & Resort Honolulu, Hawaii, originally served as part of the breakfast buffet. Taking inspiration from crepes, the pancake batter is spread thin and rolled up — a distinctive style synonymous with The Kahala brand. Soaked in a rich maple butter sauce, the pancake has a chewy, satisfying texture that holds up well even after cooling.
Mango on the Shinpancake
This summer's limited edition tops the Shinpancake with a whole ripe mango — an indulgent way to enjoy the rich sweetness and luscious, juicy flesh of one of summer's most beloved tropical fruits.
