Yoo Minjie / Assistant Patissier

Yoo Minjie studied illustration and was encouraged by a professor during her university years to pursue patisserie after he recognized her unique sensibility for capturing food through color, form, and emotional expression. She shifted her expressive medium from drawing to confectionery, making her a rare pastry chef who incorporates artistic sensibility into sweets creation.
She later moved to New York and gained experience at renowned establishments including Dominique Ansel Bakery, Ladurée, and Magnolia Bakery. She creates sweets that fuse the free-spirited approach of American pastry with the delicate, light flavors of Asian confections. Her works, utilizing an artist's perspective, are highly regarded for their balance of visual beauty and taste.
