Kyoho Grapes and Shine Muscat Take Center Stage in Marunouchi Hotel's Autumn Pomme d'Adam Afternoon Tea

From September 1 (Tue) to September 30 (Wed), 2026, the 8th-floor French restaurant Pomme d'Adam at Marunouchi Hotel is presenting a seasonal afternoon tea titled "Pomme d'Adam Afternoon Tea: An Autumn Moment with Kyoho Grapes and Shine Muscat." Fragrant Kyoho grapes and the juicy sweetness of Shine Muscat take center stage, with sweets and savories built around the rich flavor of grapes.

A Celebration of Kyoho and Shine Muscat

As summer's heat lingers and the first signs of autumn begin to appear, this afternoon tea puts the spotlight on Kyoho grapes and Shine Muscat, both grown under abundant sunshine and prized for their fragrant sweetness. Sweets and savories are crafted to highlight each grape's distinct character.

The sweets lineup includes a Victoria cake accented by a well-balanced Kyoho and framboise jam, a tart lavishly topped with fruit, and a jelly and panna cotta showcasing Kyoho's rich flavor and smooth texture. The Shine Muscat sweets bring their own variety of aroma and texture: a cream puff filled with Grand Marnier–scented custard cream, a chocolate bonbon wrapping the fruit in white chocolate, and a Japanese-Western fusion gyuhi wrap combining lemon cream and crumble in soft mochi.

Sweets

On the savory side, a vichyssoise topped with Shine Muscat and a touch of garlic oil opens the course, followed by a salad pairing spicy shrimp with Kyoho grapes. Delaware grapes and raisins are compoted in balsamic vinegar and honey and served with chèvre cheese, while a pâté de grand-mère comes with Pinot Noir mustard, and a raisin butter sandwich brings together smoked butter and orange for a French-inspired finish.

Optional Mini Dessert: Shine Muscat and White Wine Jelly Verrine

For an additional ¥1,000, guests can add the "Shine Muscat and White Wine Jelly Verrine" as a mini dessert. Shine Muscat and white wine jelly are layered with passion fruit and mango sauce, custard cream, crumble, and lemon sherbet, balancing flavor and texture for a refreshing finish.
