Starting September 15, Hotel InterContinental Tokyo Bay (1-16-2 Kaigan, Minato-ku, Tokyo; Head General Manager: Hiroyuki Miyata) is introducing its first afternoon tea made with coffee from Bacha Coffee, the legendary Marrakech, Morocco-born brand that has captivated celebrities around the world and made its Japan debut in 2025. Built around the theme of an elegant autumn afternoon inside a Marrakech palace, the limited-time "Autumn Palace Afternoon Tea with Bacha Coffee" pairs Bacha Coffee's rich aroma with the season's flavors — shine muscat, pear, and chestnut. The tea service runs from September 15 to November 16 at five venues, including New York Lounge, as well as in-room dining.

For the special dish, Italian marron cream is layered with domestic chestnuts and finished with the rich aroma of Bacha Coffee's signature "1910 Coffee" — a Mont Blanc called "Palais de Marron."

The petit gateaux lineup includes a jewel-like gelée topped with shine muscat and seasonal grapes, a honey-caramelized pear tart, a velvet tiramisu made with floral Sidamo Mountain Coffee, a mousse pairing tart apricot with rich pistachio, and a macaron inspired by the roses that bloom in Marrakech. Scones come in two flavors — apple cinnamon and chocolat orange — served freshly baked with apricot jam, raspberry jam, and clotted cream.

Savories vary by venue. At the two lounges, six dishes drawing on Moroccan traditional cooking, such as a Quiche Lorraine in harira style and a basil couscous in Caprese style, are served from the main dining restaurant Fine Dining La Provence.

At Tokyo Ocean View Dining Manhattan, which looks out over Tokyo Bay, guests instead choose their own appetizers from a buffet board and arrange them on a single plate, in a style exclusive to Manhattan. Italian Dining Zillion and Fine Dining La Provence, meanwhile, offer lunch and dinner courses that come with an afternoon-tea-style dessert, so guests can pick the venue that best suits the occasion and their preference.

At New York Lounge and Hudson Lounge, guests can also add a set that includes one cup of the signature "1910 Coffee" to their afternoon tea, for a deeper pairing of coffee and sweets.

For a limited time, guests at New York Lounge also receive a complimentary drip bag (one packet) of Bacha Coffee's popular Seville Orange Coffee blend.

New York Lounge is also offering, for a limited number of tables, an exclusive Floral Table Coordinate Plan that dresses the table in flowers and decor inspired by a Marrakech palace, making tea time more glamorous and photogenic. Guests can take the flowers home afterward, making it a fitting choice for birthdays, anniversaries, and other celebrations.
