Fukushima Hachimangu Shrine in Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture has postponed its Tanabata Kigansai sky lantern launch from July 4 to July 19, 2026, due to rain in the forecast. On the rescheduled date, visitors can join the Tento Kigansai prayer festival, writing wishes on goldfish-shaped ema and sending them skyward on LED sky lanterns.

From July 18 to September 4, 2026, Gunma Flower Park+ in Maebashi hosts its "NATURALISTIC GARDEN FAIR," with free admission for children from July 18 to August 31, more than 13,000 plants led by sunflowers and blue salvia in bloom, a splashy "Jabujabu Pond" play area with weekend bubble shows, summer research and job-experience programs for kids, and a two-day night festival in mid-August.
