Hyatt Regency Tokyo is offering special festive-season dining experiences for spending the end of the year with someone special.
At Crossroads Kitchen, a "Festive Menu" is served for lunch and dinner from December 18 to January 3. It features beef Wellington, herb-roasted rack of lamb, roast domestic beef, truffle and mushroom tagliolini, and a cheese and charcuterie selection.
On New Year's Eve, December 31, a "Countdown Party" takes place at Crossroads Kitchen and Nineteen Eighty Lounge & Bar, with a countdown buffet and free-flow drinks. DJs and a live band keep the last night of the year lively. In the atrium lobby, which is open from the lobby up to the 8th floor, a countdown toast is planned beneath three chandeliers of Swarovski® crystals to welcome the new year.
Festive Menu at Crossroads Kitchen
Crossroads Kitchen serves a wide range of dishes from its open kitchen. From December 18 to January 3, a special winter menu celebrating the festive season is available for lunch and dinner.
The lineup includes beef Wellington (beef wrapped in pastry and baked), salmon en croûte, rack of lamb with an herb coating, truffle and mushroom tagliolini, roast domestic beef, and glazed pork loin. French onion soup, roasted portobello mushrooms, a selection of cheese and charcuterie, and a festive terrine are also on the menu.
Holiday Cocktails
Festive cocktails are available in December at Nineteen Eighty Lounge & Bar and Bar Eau-de-Vie (オードヴィー).
Nineteen Eighty Lounge & Bar
- White Noël Fashioned: A twist on the classic Old Fashioned, made as a white Christmas drink reminiscent of a snowy landscape. The richness of cream cheese is layered onto bourbon, and a house-made amazake (sweet fermented rice drink) spice syrup with cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla, and wasanbon (fine-grained Japanese sugar) adds gentle sweetness and warm spice. Garnished with white chocolate, marshmallow, and rosemary to resemble a snow-dusted Christmas tree, it is a cocktail that blends Japanese and Western flavors.
- Éclatelle: Nineteen Eighty's Christmas cocktail, inspired by the French word "éclat," meaning "sparkle." The rich apple aroma of calvados is layered with the bitterness of coffee and cacao nibs and the mellow richness of mascarpone, then finished with sparkling wine. It is a lingering drink for the holiday season.
Bar Eau-de-Vie (オードヴィー)
- French 15: Inspired by Eau-de-Vie's winter staple "Fresh Leonardo" and by the "French 15," a drink popular during the Prohibition era. The hotel's original gin "Miyabi (雅)" is combined with fresh strawberries, and the flavor of bamboo leaf tea overlaps with the sweet-tart strawberry.
- Evergreen Garden: A wintry take on the "Grasshopper," a classic cocktail created in the early Prohibition era, with Japanese sencha as the star. The refreshing aroma and umami of strongly cold-brewed sencha are layered with the gentle sweetness of mint and cacao and the mellowness of fresh cream, with bitters adding a subtle accent.
Countdown Party on New Year's Eve
On the night of December 31, Crossroads Kitchen and Nineteen Eighty Lounge & Bar host a special party to count down to the new year.
Each venue offers a countdown buffet together with free-flow drinks. The free-flow lineup includes Veuve Clicquot champagne, red and white wine, beer, a gin and tonic made with the hotel's original Japanese gin "Miyabi (雅)," cocktails, mocktails, and soft drinks.
Crossroads Kitchen
From 10:00 PM, Crossroads Kitchen serves a menu to close out the last night of the year. Dishes prepared for the occasion include filet Rossini, lobster calamarata pasta, and a croque monsieur with truffle. There is also a live station with smoked trout barrique served with blini, salmon roe, and condiments, as well as chilled green asparagus soup with crab rémoulade, avocado, and salmon roe.
Nineteen Eighty Lounge & Bar
At Nineteen Eighty Lounge & Bar, a special countdown plan is available beneath the shining chandeliers of the atrium. It includes free-flow drinks and, from 10:00 PM, access to the live kitchen of the neighboring Crossroads Kitchen. The open lounge space offers a rich dining experience.
Live Entertainment
DJs and a band provide live entertainment throughout the night, with three performances starting at 10:00 PM. The band is BLOODEST SAXOPHONE, a Japanese jump blues and swing band formed in Tokyo in 1998. Its old-school vintage sound and energetic playing liven up the New Year's Eve night.
Countdown Toast in the Atrium
Just before the new year, a "Countdown Toast" is planned in the atrium, the hotel's signature space. Guests gather beneath the sparkling chandeliers, glass in hand, to celebrate the start of a new year. As the finale of an evening of dining and music, the whole hotel welcomes the new year together.
Holiday Offerings at SPA & WELLNESS Joule
SPA & WELLNESS Joule on the 27th floor offers the "Holiday Premium Gift Ticket 75min" for a limited time. It combines a 75-minute treatment with up to 60 minutes in the biohacking room and a set of three damask rose face masks. It can be a gift for someone special during the Christmas season, or a reward for yourself after a hard year.
The popular "Holiday Coffret" returns this year as well, with three types of items selected to support beautiful skin and restful sleep.
